It is often said in spiritual circles that initiation into a consciousness process does not need to be initiated by the will. Rather, it is an inner call, a resonance between what is experienced and what is behind the experience, like a space of observation that perceives what is experienced.
For example, a life situation leads to a strong emotion of anger. The person who remains subjective about his or her emotions will find it very difficult not to use his or her will to control them. The person who has "reached" a certain level of distance from his emotions will naturally be able to observe the situation and take distance from his emotions. In an initiatory process towards consciousness, the will is more an intention than a will because something in the being can no longer function unconsciously in the face of its emotions. This is how the call can be made.
When some visions tell us that the will has no power of profound transformation, they mean that change cannot be initiated from a moral, an obligation or a dogma, but from our intention of transformation which is born from an inner call which seems inescapable. It is from this state of being that the will is no longer a will, but an intention which is in fact a deep inner necessity, because the ego has heard the call of the Self at some point.
Distractions, fear of following the call we have heard or the courage of Mars/Pluto.
Once we have heard the call, we need to maintain the inspiration that comes from it. In order not to get lost in the distractions of lack due to past habits, a spiritual discipline will be necessary. This discipline is not rigidity, nor is it an imposition of practices for which we are not comfortable, but rather a vigilance of what makes us run away from ourselves.A true metamorphosis can only take place in a deep intimacy, one that allows us to bring to the light of our consciousness our need to be loved and to exist. However, it is not a question of isolating ourselves, on the contrary, life goes on and continues its way, what changes is the way we look at ourselves, and it is very likely that we feel a form of disgust for what we have built for the sake of others' looks.
If we observe well, we will see that the need to seduce is omnipresent and it is thus that we develop all kinds of stratagems to feel ourselves existing in order to be liked. The fear to exist is of the same nature, simply, it takes a different mode of expression, the fear to exist comes from a need to exist, because in the contrary case, there would be no fear.
We will also see how we look for alternative distractions to mask the fear of seeing ourselves as we are. Similarly, we will see how we figure ourselves into a hyper-vigilance to control, justify and suppress our true expression, rather than being attentive to who we are in our authenticity. For in reality, it is the assiduous relationship with our nature in all its complexity that will allow consciousness to manifest its alchemical healing power.
In order to grasp the courage we can acquire through the teachings of Mars/Pluto, let's quote a small excerpt from the myth of the hero and in particular from the first of the 12 labors of Hercules, the Lion of Nemea by Luc Bigé on https://lucbige-astromythology.simplesite.com/453119420/453473396
The first point is to feel the call, to listen to the call, because it is from there that the courage to go on an adventure will be born.
At the beginning, the hero does not know what he is looking for, because he has no objective. The hero does what he has not been trained to do in order to let the gift and the power of creations that he inhabits and for which he is not yet aware be revealed. In fact, the hero abandons his skills in order to go towards a world unknown to him.
In the silence of the meditation
To go further in our adventure towards consciousness, let's take the sentence from a previous article on this same blog
There is nothing to do in meditation, not even becoming the observer, the observer emerges naturally when the desire for control evaporates.
The practice of meditation is undoubtedly an opening to our deepest nature. It promotes an intimate encounter with ourselves and beyond ourselves. However, the trappings of the ego lurk in the most subtle parts and we can long confuse the mind that dictates the course of our meditation with the detached observer of the self who contemplates what appears. The mind has nothing to do with meditation, it is not designed for it. Thus, it would be enough in our meditation practice to activate a particle of intention to enter into a silence without having to say that we should observe, or that it would be good to... Let life pass through us without comment, without expectation, without analysis.
At some point, perhaps, the self fades away and a neutral observation emerges, like a tree contemplating the course of life around it and within it in total acceptance. Sometimes for a moment, sometimes for a longer period. In these magical moments, union is presence, this union is not necessarily with the whole of existence nor with the great spiritual images we have learned in the holy books, it is simply, and it is this state of simplicity that becomes a real jubilation.
