Part 1:
What interests us in our sharing of articles are the dimensions of the inner world, from personal to transpersonal. However, the experiences of internalization can take on a color that is difficult for the ego identified with form, such as dissatisfaction, anxiety, guilt, and behavioral disorders.
Some of the energy of a Saturn retrograde was described in the article we placed in; https://astrology-transpersonal.blogspot.com/2022/08/a-facet-of-pluto-and-saturn.html
Saturn retrograde in a birth chart is certainly the most difficult of all retrogrades. Saturn is an identity planet, it represents the superego and it does not use the superego to control others as a direct Saturn would. The retrograde function is introjected and becomes demanding of itself.
It is interesting to perceive this demand on oneself as a way of wanting to achieve a normality of being and appearing and that this habit triggers an inner tension that imprisons us more than it liberates us.
In our spiritual quest, relaxation of the body and mind is a priority, but with Saturn retrograde, this becomes a goal that intervenes in the mind rather than the space of the heart. To allow relaxation to manifest, it is necessary to become aware of this desire to achieve one's goal with all the self-censorship that Saturn retrograde causes internally. Learning to let go is a path to redemption. How to let go? By first becoming aware of the way we self-direct and control ourselves. For example, when we feel the need to measure up. Where in our meditations, when we need to observe our breathing, we need to not think, we need to be in unity with existence, etc.
For many of us, this inner control becomes more subtle. The first sign of control often seen in our meditations is when we experience deep involuntary sighs. We may think we are relaxing, but in fact it is because we feel a small pressure that we are not aware of that causes a sigh and does not allow for real relaxation. Anxiety is also a sign of control that we initiate from experiences that are no longer relevant. It is a question of not forcing anything, not even well-being, relaxation. To let oneself be with what is there means not to provoke anything, not to accentuate anything, to remain calm without looking for the presence, if it appears, it is good, if not, it is good too.
The same is true in our daily spiritual "quest." Saturn retrograde puts pressure on us to evolve. Self-knowledge does not require moral discipline or exemplary behavior. It may be time to allow for a relaxation of our personal expectations and demands. In fact, all this is rather an obstacle to spiritual realization, and even the feeling of having to realize oneself is part of it.
In terms of inner experience, Saturn retrograde is well equipped to gain inner strength to venture where others would not dare to go, but the more he relaxes from his sense of perfection, the more life will open its doors.
In a chart, Saturn retrograde will have to move toward the values in sign and house of Uranus and detachment from its inner representative patterns. This is not Uranus' discontent and rebellion, but the ability to self-observe its control mechanisms. To do this, Uranus will put the personality in hyperactivity until the day when the consciousness will perceive the need to rest from the inner demands. Thereafter, a calm and natural perception of detachment from tension and mental control emerges and quietly frees us from our demands on ourselves.
